To Die But Once is the first novel in the virtual reality series. It is a trilogy in The SynTech Series.

SynTech is the most powerful corporation in the world. They hold a near-monopoly on nanotechnology and they are the only ones who have the ability to digitize the mind and upload it to a state of the art synthetic body. Alfred would prefer more time to ensure the technology works, but he is out of time. He must place his trust in SynTech’s hands. That turns out to be a mistake.

To Die but Once is set to be published in 2023. Perchance to Dream follows Alfred as he navigates life as a virtual mind. The three-part series wraps up in Heir to Flesh.
